WhatsApp's New Privacy Update Delayed to 15th May Addressing Users Concern
WhatsApp's latest privacy update has led to massive confusion among its users. To stop all the chaos, the messaging platform has announced a decision to postpone the launch of its new privacy policy.
The updated date for the launch of the policy is scheduled for the 15th of May.
The confusion was related to whether the data shared is with Facebook regarding the user chats. For preventing any further kind of misinformation, WhatsApp has made the recent decision. The company posted a separate blog post depicting what information is protected by them.
Apart from this, the platform also provided users with an ultimatum that failure to accept the privacy terms will lead to deletion of the account. Moreover, the recent privacy policy update led to users switching to alternate platforms, including Signal and Telegram.
Additionally, WhatsApp clears the confusion, that no one will lose access to the platform for not agreeing to the new privacy terms.
